Johnny Kim is a licensed clinical social worker practicing psychodynamic psychotherapy and is pursuing psychoanalytic training and guidance under mentorship in Missouri. Johnny began his psychotherapeutic journey in 2020 during his training at the Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. Soon after, Johnny received his provisional licensure, and eventually, his complete clinical social work licensure. Johnny's specialized work involves creating a collaborative treatment plan with his patients in an effort to create a space that advocates for agency and congruence. Through his work, Johnny caters towards adolescents, young adults, and older adults by using a multidisciplinary approach, integrating elements from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. With a background of cultural competence training, Johnny also frequently works with varying and diverse communities. Johnny works best with patients who are motivated to experience change and are open towards challenging dialectical conversations.
